The two days of Filo #50: the program

The 50th edition of Filo, the yarns and fibres’ Exhibition, is held on the 26th and 27th of September 2018 at Palazzo delle Stelline in Milan (corso Magenta 61).

The official inauguration of the Exhibition is scheduled for 11 am on the 26th of September 2018 in the Sala Manzoni of Palazzo delle Stelline (first floor), under the title “50 times of Filo”.

The speakers are:

Carlo Piacenza – President of Unione Industriale Biellese

Marinella Loddo – Director of ITA-Agency Office in Milan

Federica Dottori – Head of International Promotion Department of Sistema Moda Italia

Luca Ferrarese – Banca Sella

Stefano Fadda – Milano Unica’s Art Director

 

  • During the two days of Filo there is a delegation of foreign buyers and journalists invited and hosted by Filo thanks to a long standing cooperation with ITA Agency (Rome’s Office). The delegation is made up of 30 operators representing important companies from EU countries (France, Sweden, Denmark, Spain and Portugal) and from Great Britain, Norway, Russia, Belarus, Turkey and Japan. Russia is a country that has always showed high interest for Made in Italy products, and some of the Russian buyers in the delegation have been selected from the most important textile entities within Russia Federation thanks to the support of Sistema Moda Italia and the cooperation carried out with RAFI – Russian Association of Fashion Industry.

 

  • On the 26th of September at 5.30 pm, the “Happy Birthday, Filo!” party: with surprises and gifts for everybody, from exhibitors to journalists, it has been organised to celebrate the “golden wedding anniversary” of an Exhibition of excellence. The party is held at the terrace of Palazzo delle Stelline (entrance from aisle C).

 

  • The 50th edition of Filo marks the official Exhibition’s arrival onto the main social networks and social media: Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube. Social media, however, require a spicier and provocative communication, compared to the traditional one. That is why, in order to promote its arrival on social networks, Filo relies on pepper. Even better, on a bouquet of peppers among the spiciest ones. Peppers are the backdrop of the entire exhibiting area for the 50th edition of Filo and there will be a small bunch in each booth: a little lucky charm, with the hope that pepper could represent an inspiration for all participants in Filo to create richer and richer in quality and innovation products and, why not, with a hint of “daring”.

 

  • The FiloLounge is always opened during the two days of Filo, on the first floor of Palazzo delle Stelline. FiloLounge is an area reserved exclusively to exhibitors and journalist where to find a break thanks to a cafeteria service offered by the organisation.
