NEXUS
Product development proposals created by Rossano Bisio

Filo 65th edition

INTRODUCTION

Filo65 presents Nexus where fibres, yarns, and fabrics are synonyms of bond, connection, link.
In Nexus, each yarn is a gesture creating structure; each fibre brings technical file and identity.
Weave corresponds to that connection where yarns merge together to give shape to the fabric and its aesthetic purpose.
Woven fabrics derive from artisan’s savoir-faire connecting competences and tradition.
Technology is the other side of Nexus Concept: R&D on smart yarns ensure performance and durability.
Eco-friendly yarn is a fundamental link with environment; raw materials turn into responsibility.
Digital product passport changes technical description into supply-chain transparency: each fabric tells its story.
Filo 65 broadens the perspective; supply chain challenges itself on territory, impact, and cyclicity.
Fashion is the core where aesthetics and ethics meet; consumers are connected to the supply chain.
Tactile experience: everyday contact with fabric which accompanies self-care through innovative finishing techniques.
Filo65 Nexus celebrates a mix of competences where tradition, innovation, and responsibility cooperate to produce a conscious and long-lasting aesthetics.

VOLUMES

Extra-fine Merino wools, Capra Hircus and Andean camelids change lightness into tactile mass.
Extra-fine processed fibres to increase volume and insulation become the collections’ language.
Peluche yarns play with tufts and reliefs to create surfaces that suggest touch.
“Grass stitching” embroideries generate vertical movement and play of light on large volumes.
Raised Bouclé redefine British style by using soft thickness and hairy “hand”.
Multi-play cabled yarns create clear reliefs without weighting the silhouette down.
Woven roving and selective raising effects define evident and irresistible fabric weaves.
Sophisticated twisted yarns reinvent Madame Coco’s designs from matter’s perspective.
Highly polished lurex and polyamides punctuate the volume with balanced points of light.
Zibeline cashmere closes the narrative as the prince of coats: warmth, luxury and a voluminous feel.

GEOMETRIES

At Filo65 yarns become design’s tool: serving fabrics, they shape lines, symbols, and the geometric logic of the collection.
Surfaces and essential lines turn into changeable micro-architectures thanks to contrasting weaves and highly refined effect yarns.
Diagonal structures and accentuated ribbed textures orchestrate directionality and dynamism in textile surface.
Herringbone patterns reinvent aspects, integrated with weaves, slub yarns and multi-ply yarns.
Chalk-striped and cheviot, rediscovered after years of oblivion, now speak to both apparel and interior design industries.
Ethnic geometries emerge as assembled patchworks and large-scale embroideries, telling knowledge and territories.
Lurex and shiny polyamides illuminate evening and formal wear, enhancing silky aspects with balanced points of light.
Filo 65 colours combine heritage and innovation in two functional palettes, from formal to activewear, from interiors to digital.
Brown Orange is grounding and made of matter.
Rio Red is intense and passionate.
Pink Cosmos is playful and futuristic.

ALCHEMIES

Alchemies combine science and textile technology: a capsule collection that transforms advanced materials and technologies into sensitive, traceable and regenerable yarns and fabrics, designed for new kinds of interaction.
AI technology analyses millions of social media images to recognise fashion features and predict trends, streamlining product range and reducing surplus.
By 2027, the EU Digital Product Passport will require complete transparency on textile products, documenting product data and life cycles.
Blockchain technologies for cashmere: for origin-to-consumer certification and material authenticity.
Fabric interfaces can detect gestures such as swipes, touches and presses, offering a safer and more intuitive alternative to touchscreen systems.
Micro photovoltaic cells woven into conductive resin threads accumulate energy while maintaining flexibility, softness and breathability for everyday garments.
Fabrics that change colour according to emotions and body temperature.
High-performance base layers made with natural yarns and bio-based DWR finishing effects for lightness and sustainability.
PFC-free windproof membranes for environmental protection and performance.
Innovative alternatives to traditional fibres through materials obtained by controlled fermentation.
New polymers from renewable resources for technical fabrics.
Enzymatic depolymerisation: biotechnology for recycling complex polymers.
Advanced thermal insulation based on polyester filaments and Aerogel, the least dense solid substance known, composed of 99.8% air and 0.2% silicon dioxide.
Nexus completes its journey acting as a connection among sensation, sign and technology.
Volumes embrace body with warmth and cozy lightness.
Geometries define surfaces with graphic order and visual rhythm.
Alchemies turn matter into performance through technical research.
Filo 65 invites professionals to interpret these three codes as design tools, to weave collections that speak to the future of dressing with substance, beauty and creative intuition.
