Elasten® meets any request for stretch or simply wound yarns, both for sale and third party processing. The firm inserts its own Inox steel fibre into the core of any one or two plies yarn – or, upon request, any other particular fiber of the customer, for example Lurex, high tenacity yarns, conductive yarns. To elasticize Elasten uses bare, covered or thermoretractable elastomers. Any newly conceived elastic/retractable fibre is first tested, then proposed to customers operating in each field: fashion, furnishing, footwear, workwear and automotive.
At Filo, Elasten offers two particularly interesting product lines.
élin® range features stretch yarns protected by international patents and produced with pure stretch linen, stretch hemp, stretch ramie/nettle and others. élin® yarns were invented to achieve a triple aim: comfort, elegance and performance in one single product. This is the result of the combination of ecological, sustainable, natural fibers of excellence with the most innovative elasticization techniques. This results in exceptional transpirability and thermoregulation given by the natural fibers which are combined to the optimal stretch recovery and the completely smooth fabric surface. This patented product family includes yarns and fabrics made with said yarns. Application fields are endless. The elastic percentage is made of recycled and biobased material.
The patented BFlex® product range answers a specific question: why not create an “elastic without elastic” yarn? The particular structure of the yarn creates a natural elasticity on fabrics for knitwear or shuttle weaving (suitable to warp and weft). Obviously the resulting elasticity will never be comparable to the elasticity deriving from traditional elastomers, but it completely meets the modern comfort requirements. Moreover, the handle and the surface appearing on knitted swatch or fabric are fully innovative, “technical”, “fluid” and “unexpected” considering the material on which the technology is applied. BFlex® can be applied on any material in any count. The family of patented products fully addresses the concept of recyclable and compostable materials, since they can be produced in mono composition with certified and 100% natural materials.
