Tomorrow, Wednesday 26 February 2025, the 63rd edition of Filo opens in the new venue: Allianz MiCo – viale Eginardo – Gate 3 – Milan.

The undisputed protagonists of the 63rd edition of Filo are the yarns, fibres and materials proposed by the exhibiting companies: the result of careful research and passion by companies aware of their social and environmental responsibility.

In the new space dedicated to R&D, the Filo Capsule Collection is on display: 60 fabric samples, displayed on 30 totems and accompanied by detailed technical sheets. The Filo Capsule Collection is an absolute innovation in the international panorama of textile fairs. During the two days of Filo, guided tours are planned for foreign buyers, students and the press, which will be illustrated by Rossano Bisio (Fabric Designer of Filo) in collaboration and with the help of the students of the ITS TAM of Biella.

During the two days of the Exhibition, a rich program of talks and debates is scheduled under the umbrella of the “Dialoghi di Confronto”. The first is the Opening Ceremony scheduled for Wednesday, February 26, at 10:30 am, under the title “The Art of Manufacturing – From Yarn to Fabric, from the Idea to the Implementation: How to Translate an Idea into a Product”. Speakers: Paolo Monfermoso (Filo Manager); the Italian Minister of the Environment and Energy Security Onorevole Gilberto Pichetto Fratin (through a video message); Matteo Zoppas (President of ITA – Italian Trade Agency), Raffaello Napoleone (President of the IT-EX Association); Pier Francesco Corcione (General Manager of Unione Industriale Biellese); Elena Chiorino (Vicepresident Regione Piemonte). The round table that follows the institutional interventions is moderated by Filomena Greco (Il Sole 24 Ore) with the participation of Caterina Tonda (RTW Sustainable Development Manager, Material Innovation Lab, Kering), Rossano Bisio (Fabric Designer Filo), Guido Tahra (Designer, Creative Director, lecturer at Marangoni Insitute).

To be followed during the two days of the fair are the events of the “Dialoghi di Confronto” (the full program is available here), where key issues for the future of textile industry are discussed: protagonists are leading personalities of the textile-fashion industry, who bear direct testimony to their commitment to research, innovation, sustainability and textile culture.

Allianz MiCo Milano, the new exhibition venue chosen by Filo, is located in one of the most interesting areas of the “new” Milan and is easily accessible by all means of transport, from plane to train, car to public transport. The car park available to visitors is in Viale Colleoni – Gate 12B, with direct entrance to the Exhibition, while the general entrance to Filo is at Gate 3 in Viale Eginardo.
