From the 13th of December 2023 “Ir-Reality Show”, the video with the creative proposals developed by Gianni Bologna for the 61st edition of Filo, will be online.
There are now only a few square meters of exhibition space still available for the 61st edition of Filo, which will be held on 28 and 29 February 2024 at Allianz MiCo – Milan. Special rates are available for companies that book their stands in advance.
Finding a new balance between production and consumption is the great challenge for the textile industry which must face the problem of waste. There is a need to rethink consumption habits to work towards a more sustainable model and extend the life cycle of raw materials and products to minimize the impact on the planet. It was discussed in depth in the “Dialoghi di Confronto” of the 60th edition of Filo, in particular in the talk “Raw materials, fashion and consumption, the new balances”, conducted by Olga Pirazzi, director of the sustainable fashion department of Cittadellarte – Fondazione Pistoletto.

December 13, 2023, is the date chosen by Filo to release the creative proposals carried out by Gianni Bologna for the 61st edition.
The flood which affected Prato district at the beginning of November has caused victims and huge damage both to private citizens and to enterprises – more than 500 million euro have already been estimated. Many textile companies suffered from the floods too, including some companies which exhibit at Filo. However, as Andrea Borelli from Tessitura Italia stated, ‘The citizens of Prato are great workers, and Prato doesn’t stop after this catastrophe.” We have got to Filo’s exhibitors based in Prato district immediately after the flood; despite considerable damage reported, they stated that they are immediately returning to work, confirming their participation in the 61st edition of Filo as exhibitors, as usual.

Present at Filo since the first edition, Pozzi Electa wanted to celebrate the sixty editions of the exhibition by telling the public of visitors and exhibitors about its business model, based on made in Italy and sustainability, where the link with the territory and the attention to environmental and social sustainability are combined with know-how that is handed down both in terms of manufacturing and technical expertise to be shared with the market, also through a rigorous selection of supplier-partners.

Sustainability and innovation are at home at Filo. This is confirmed by the proposals of Filatura Vangi, present at the Salon for the first time. In the interview Gianluca Vangi, owner of the company, focuses on the interest that visitors have shown in “our products, mainly focused on recycled, GRS certified, both wool and cashmere.”

Every October the Egyptian cotton harvest takes place, carried out manually by farmers to preserve its quality and avoid the use of harmful chemicals. For Filmar it was an opportunity to further strengthen its commitment to supporting Egyptian cotton and its sustainability, and to take stock of the progress of adopting the Better Cotton principles in Egypt.
