Filo, the International Yarns and Fibers Exhibition, welcomes you to the 63rd edition.

Welcoming visitors at the entrance to the fair is the Trends Area with the exhibitors’ trend proposals, the Quick Delivery Point, “Un Filo per la maglia”.

New – and unmissable – at the 63rd edition of Filo is the Filo Capsule Collection, the collection of fabric samples made by Filo from the exhibitors’ yarns and developed using the best manufacturing techniques. During the two days of Filo, a guided tours are planned for foreign buyers, students, and the press, which will be illustrated by Rossano Bisio (Fabric Designer of Filo) with the help of the students from the ITS TAM of Biella.

The Sustainability Area, for its part, highlights the products of the companies that adhere to Filo’s sustainability project, FiloFlow. The specific “Green” catalog of Filo is available to visitors in the Sustainability Area, which is alongside the general catalog of exhibitors.

The calendar of debates and talks is packed. At 10:30 today, February 26, the appointment is with the Opening Ceremony of the 63rd edition of Filo. The theme of the event is “The Art of Manufacturing – From Yarn to Fabric, from Idea to Implementation: How to Translate an Idea into a Product”. Speakers: Paolo Monfermoso (Filo Manager); the Italian Minister of the Environment and Energy Security MP Gilberto Pichetto Fratin (through a video message); Matteo Zoppas (President of ITA – Italian Trade Agency), Raffaello Napoleone (President of the IT-EX Association); Pier Francesco Corcione (General Manager of Unione Industriale Biellese); Elena Chiorino (Vicepresident Regione Piemonte).
The round table moderated by Filomena Greco (Il Sole-24Ore) will follow, with the participation of Caterina Tonda (RTW Sustainable Development Manager, Material Innovation Lab, Kering), Rossano Bisio (Fabric Designer Filo), Guido Tahra (Designer, Creative Director, lecturer at Marangoni Institute).

During the two days of the Exhibition, within the Networking Area, the “Dialoghi di Confronto” will take place. These are short talks, led by outstanding personalities of the textile-fashion industry, during which highly topical issues for the sector will be addressed, first and foremost sustainability and traceability.
