While the preparatory work for the 61st Filo edition is in progress, Filo’s participation in Milano Unica has been positive: the proposals of the yarns produced by the companies taking part in the FiloFlow project, and the video projection of ‘Alchemies’ with style’s inspirations carried out by Gianni Bologna (the responsible for Filo’s creativity and style) have drawn the attention of visitors, by registering a constant flow of people interested in touching and in examining those materials which are often used for the fabrics and the accessories exhibited at Milano Unica.
Paolo Monfermoso, responsible for Filo, says: “Filo’s participation in Milano Unica is a well-established tradition that – with a view to supply chain – meets the specific needs deriving from the market and the companies. Filo is constantly working for enhancing sustainable creativity and for doing research on products. National and international operators reward our choice to show the collections which reflect Filo’s values and commitment’.
The 38th Milano Unica edition performed positive results. As Alessandro Barberis Canonico – MU President – highlighted: “During the four years of my presidency, despite the pandemic and the wars, Milano Unica has exponentially grown. The reasons for this growth surely lay on enhancing the selection of companies and products on show, which our fairtrade has never forgot. In addition, we have also developed the core assets of Milano Unica: sustainability, traceability, and training’.
