Starting from the 14th of June 2021 Milan, the city where Filo takes place, and the whole of Lombardy are classified by Italian authorities as ‘white zones’, where Covid-19 contagion risk is already low and therefore nearly all restrictions to activities and transfers are removed.
Milan, as the whole of Italy, is then re-opening the doors to foreign people coming to Italy for business or tourism. To simplify travellers’ life, especially those ones travelling for business, there is also the European ‘green pass’, starting from the 1st of July, which enables European citizens to travel freely again, without any quarantine or other restrictions, from and toward the 27 countries of the European Union, with the addition of Norway, Switzerland, Island and Liechtenstein, which acceded to the agreement.
The digital green pass basically consists of a QR code based on optical tracking which will be recognisable across whole Europe. It is granted to all those who got vaccinated by using a medicine authorised by EMA (therefore, Pfizer, Moderna, AstraZeneca, Jannsen and its validity lasts nine months), to people cured from Covid-19 (its validity lasts six months) and to those who undergo a swab test: in this case, however, validity for negative test will last just 48 hours.
