Filo63: How to implement a QR code in knitted fabric
PRESS RELEASE
A knitted fabric QR code, readable by common scanner readers: it is an invention of some researchers from the Università Politecnico of Milan (which holds the patent). The information is thus integrated directly into the fabric or applied during assembly, packaging or production. It is a knitted element that accompanies the product from its birth to the end of its life. It is a technology that offers a sustainable alternative to traditional labels, often removed or faded after washing.
As part of the Dialoghi di Confronto of the 63rd edition of Filo, the details of the project and the possible areas of application will be explained by the inventors of the patent Fulvio Musante, Angelo Sabbioni, Lucia Consilia Tarantino, Laura Vicelli and Giorgio Vignati, in a dialogue with Silvio Botto Poala (CEO of Botto Giuseppe e Figli spa) and Alberto Saccavini (Consultant for Sustainability in Fashion of Blumine) in the talk entitled “Method for implementing a QRcode in knitted fabric”.
