Young people’s education is the key point on which speakers dwelled at length during the round table “Believe in young people”. Indeed, it is a crucial issue for Italian textile-apparel industry, and this is why Filo, in all its editions, gives space and voice to the institutes that make their mission of educating young people. ITS TAM Biella and Biella Master in Noble Fibres had represented them at the 57th edition.

ITS TAM Biella is the post-graduate higher technical institute for those who “want to follow their dreams in the world of fashion and textile”. The educational path is effectively linked to job market and enables to acquire competences and technical, creative, and managing skills to work along the whole supply chain safely and efficiently with the best Italian companies in the textile-apparel industry. At the 57th edition of Filo, the Institute brought a new proof of its students’ stylistic and managing competences through the garments belonging to “The Sea on the Skin”, a capsule collection expressing values revolving around sustainability.
The Biella Master delle Fibre Nobili (Biella Master in Noble Fibres) is a 13 month-post-graduate course.
It is founded on the desire to hand down and keep the huge heritage of professionalism, expertise and managing values of Biella’s textile companies, and more generally of the Italian-fashion system. It offers a course of studies which gives the opportunity to study and delve into the whole textile and apparel supply chain by matching theory and practice. Therefore, the course enables to learn about a multiplicity of realities, analysing each process, but at the same time allows to understand how they are essential to each other, developing interpretations to identify and solve problems in an innovative way. The aim of Biella Master in Noble Fibres is the education of managers who match the theoretical knowledges of technologies to an overall practical experience. For more than 35 years, the Master has been training CEOs of big companies, textile consultants recognised at global level, the best managers among the most valuable corporate departments.
