Unveiling Filo65 creative proposals: Nexus is online

The curtain rises on Filo65 product development proposals: Nexus, the video featuring textile inspirations developed by Fabric Designer Rossano Bisio for the 65th edition of Filo, is now online.

Paolo Monfermoso, manager of Filo, says: “Filo is an international point of reference for yarns and textile materials; that’s why the online release of our product development proposals has always been eagerly awaited by the professionals working in the industry. In addition, in recent editions we have decided to further strengthen the effectiveness of our proposals. Indeed, Nexus is the first step in a stylistic journey aiming at accompanying operators through the various stages of the supply chain. Therefore, we want to support textile manufacturers first in imagining and then in suggesting concrete examples of materials’ development, starting with yarns, moving to fabrics and finishing, and finally to the finished garment. The journey that begins today with Nexus will become real in Made in Filo, the collection of fabrics produced by Filo, exhibited in February at the 65th edition of Filo. Ultimately, Filo is increasingly at the core of the international textile scene since it has chosen to promote ongoing dialogue, exchange of ideas, research and innovation among the various players in the supply chain: this represents a “mission” that will find its expression in Fiera Milano in February the 11th and the 12th, 2026. In the meantime, enjoy Nexus!”

The task of explaining the stylistic content of Nexus falls to Rossano Bisio, the Fabric Designer who oversaw its creation for Filo: “The aim of Nexus comes immediately out from the title we chose for Filo65 product development proposals: it reflects the interweaving of yarns which represents the substratum of each fabric, but at the same time is related to the idea of connection developing within textile supply chain.” Bisio also adds: “We have built Nexus around three main product development lines: Volumes, Geometries and Alchemies. The first theme includes wool yarn proposals; in this case they are dense, opaque, textured surfaces designed to last and surprise with cosy details, which can be interpreted in both clothing and furnishings. On the other hand, Geometries offers light layering and dynamic yarns, designed to capture movement and colour change through contemporary weights and designs. Alchemies is the theme of innovation, hybrid fibres and yarns, with unexpected technologies and surprising finishing effects that will challenge textile materials’ function.”

The 65th edition of Filo will be held on the 11th and the 12th of February 2026 at Fiera Milano Rho.

Nexus video is already available on filo.it.
