Color is a fundamental aspect not only in production processes, but also in its broader meaning, as an enigmatic and symbolic element that has influenced rituals, memory and human emotions over the centuries. Human, artistic and cultural reactions to colors are also reflected in the technological and scientific development of the textile sector. All this was discussed in the talk “By thread and by art: the philosophy of color between circularity and innovation”, led by Olga Pirazzi, head of the sustainable fashion office of Cittadellarte – Fondazione Pistoletto; guests of the debate: Maria Canella, director of Accademia Unidee; Massimo Caiazzo, president of Iacc Italia; and Lia Luzzatto, professor at Accademia di comunicazione and Accademia del lusso in Milan.
