FILI PARI AND DYEBERG: TOGETHER FOR INNOVATION AND SUSTAINABILITY

When the original idea of a start-up is combined with the productive solidity of a manufacturing company, the sharing of know-how generates a drive for change and the final result is an innovative product. This is demonstrated by the collaboration between Dyeberg, a company with a century-old tradition of dyeing yarns, and Fili Pari, a fashion-tech start-up of outerwear and accessories. In a talk of the “Dialoghi di Confronto” Francesca Pievani and Alice Zantedeschi (Fili Pari) and Chiara Greco (Dyeberg) recounted the results produced by their collaboration.

ETHIC-ET, A SUPPLY CHAIN CERTIFICATION

A compact and quality supply chain needs a certification system that reflects its characteristics. Ethic-Et, the European certification mark developed by the Associazione Tessile e Salute, responds precisely to this logic. In the video we repropose the talk of the “Dialoghi di Confronto” of the 59th edition of Filo, during which Marco Piu (director of the Association) and Andrea Moro (public relations) explained why Ethic-Et differs from the others green labels.

INNOVATION BY LENZING: TENCEL FOR ORANGE FIBER

If internationalization and innovation are the combination that has always characterized Filo, Lenzing offers an exemplary representation of it. It is in fact a world-leading company in the fiber sector, which has made research and development one of the cornerstones of its success. From this point of view, the title of the talk of the “Dialoghi di Confronto” of the February edition of Filo led by Carlo Covini (BD Manager Lenzing AG) with Enrica Arena (CEO Orange Fiber) is emblematic: “Innovation in Lenzing: Tencel Luxe and Tencel Limited Edition x Orange Fiber”.

TENCEL, “INGREDIENT” FOR INNOVATIVE TEXTILES

At the heart of innovation in the textile field are materials that are the result of careful research, often studied to respond to precise market demands, and then interpreted by companies according to their needs.
The talk “Tencel™ – A good “Ingredient” for Textiles” brought to Filo’s “Dialoghi di Confronto” a clear example of the design process and the possible uses of innovative fibers. In a dialogue with Olga Pirazzi (Cittadellarte/Fondazione Pistoletto), Carlo Covini, BD Manager Italy & Switzerland – Lenzing AG, explained how Tencel™ fiber is an “ingredient”, which is interpreted in different ways through the knowledge of spinners and then weavers and knitters, capable of emphasizing its botanical origin, biodegradability, performance and silkiness.

AGAINST GREENWASHING: HOW TO COMMUNICATE SUSTAINABILITY

Filo’s “Dialoghi di Confronto” are designed to address the most topical issues in the textile-clothing sector. This was demonstrated once again by the talk “Greenwashing: let’s learn to communicate our values!”, led with passion by Giusy Bettoni, CEO of C.LA.S.S. As Giusy Bettoni herself affirmed during the meeting (which we reproduce in full here): “The yarn is the true starting point of the entire fashion system. Communicating its real sustainability is the weapon against the scourge of greenwashing and misinformation but also the winning tool for gaining an effective competitive advantage in the market”.
