The big day has arrived: the spotlights turn on Collages, the video with the product development proposals envisioned by Gianni Bologna (Responsible for creativity and style of Filo) for the 63rd edition of Filo is online (filo.it) from today.

Paolo Monfermoso, Responsible of Filo, says: “As with every edition of Filo, the online release of our product development proposals represents one of the key moments along the path towards the next Exhibition: the textile ideas included in the video, identified by Gianni Bologna, will be the narrative thread of the “Dialoghi Creativi” during the next edition of Filo. Our exhibitors can draw inspirations and suggestions from the proposals published today to produce their collections that will be shown during the 63rd edition of Filo, scheduled for the 26th and 27th of February 2025.
The online release of the product development proposals also enables visitors to get an idea of the themes and the materials of the 63rd edition.” Mr. Monfermoso continues: “Filo has always been focused on products and processes aspects, in one word on the technical details which are often neglected; on the contrary, we consider them essential to establish a continuous and useful dialogue “from producer to producer”. For February 2025 edition of Filo, we are developing a new project which emphasizes this feature of Filo, but we will speak about it in due time.
Today we just want to focus our attention on Collages, especially for the stylistic and technical ideas it suggests: a little great show dedicated to textile industry, made available by Filo for national and international professionals working within the industry. Gianni Bologna, Responsible for creativity and style of Filo, explains the video contents “Collages, the topic of the creative proposals that we have developed for the 63rd edition of Filo, comprises four parts: Military Charm, Bio pop, Vanity, and Possibly. We want to propose general suggestions about the starting point from which some stimuli develop, leading us to adopt some habits of wearing, that we can see among people walking on the streets or through visual communication. The message is an invitation to use freedom, however practicing it within more articulate and complex taste boundaries, looking for the ‘right doses’ of it, trying to avoid the banal and the exaggerated.”

Each of the four parts of Collages gives an account of our era creative freedom in designing shapes, in choosing colours and contents. Collages is a set of images and textile proposals which ranges from an almost dreamlike and free-from-rigidity military style to more basic materials, with linear and understated shapes and colours for decorations; or from the fine charm of classic fabrics featuring added contents and decorations to the less traditional brightness and textures of fabrics recalling science fiction cinema.

The 63rd edition of Filo will take place on the 26th and 27th of February 2025 at Allianz Mico – viale Eginardo – Gate 3 – Milan.
