Filo60: with Cittadellarte Fashion B.E.S.T. searching for a new balance between fashion and consumption

Virgin materials, their use and lifecycle are at the centre of “Raw materials, fashion, and consumption, the new balance”, one of the talks of the “Dialoghi di Confronto” at the 60th edition of Filo. Speakers of the debate are Olga Pirazzi, director of the sustainable fashion department at Cittadellarte – Fondazione Pistoletto, alongside Flavia la Rocca, fashion designer of her eponymous brand, and Fabrizio Consoli, fashion designer, owner of Blue of a Kind, university lecturer and fashion entrepreneur.

Following the fundamental principal of Cittadellarte Fashion B.E.S.T. of fashion for social responsibility, Flavia La Rocca e Fabrizio Consoli, both part of the Fashion B.E.S.T. collective, will tackle the importance of finding a new balance between production and consumption. This presents a great challenge for the textile industry which must face the issue of waste. The discourse wants to draw attention to rethinking consumption habits to work towards a more sustainable model and extend the lifecycle of raw materials and products to minimize the impact on the planet.
The 60th edition of Filo takes place on 20 and 21 September 2023 at Allianz MiCo – Milan (via Gattamelata 5).
