A new generation of consumers is asking for a new fashion, attentive to sustainability and capable
of combining style with performance. In the “Dialoghi di Confronto” – which take place in the
Networking Area of the 58th edition of Filo – two leading companies in the world of textiles
interpret this need: Coatyarn e Südwolle Group.
The appointment is for 15 September at 2.45 pm with the talk “Multifunctional wear: design e
performance per una moda NextGen”. Speaker are: Gianluigi Mazzoleni, CEO Coatyarn, and
Alessandro Dalla Pozza, Product Management Team, Südwolle Group Italia.
The Multifunctional Wear project was born from the collaboration between Coatyarn, leader in the
production of high-performance coated yarns, and Suedwolle Group, world leader manufacturer of
worsted yarns for pure and mixed wool weaving, circular and flat bed knitting.
Coatyarn’s Fashion Designer Emanuela Roncalli interpreted the need to join design and
performance for multifunctional fashion by combining TPU Evolution®, Coatyarn’s 100% made in
Italy polyurethane yarn, and Caprera GRS, sustainable blend with merino wool and Coolmax
Ecomade.
TPU Evolution® guarantees excellent resistance to abrasion, wear, hydrolysis, oils, greases and
solvents, at the same time maintaining its peculiar soft touch; Caprera GRS enhances the
thermoregulatory and breathability properties of 19,3 micron merino wool processed with
Naturetexx Plasma, an eco-friendly and chemical-free treatment joined with Coolmax Ecomade
polyester fibers 100% derived from recycled plastics.
The synergy between the two products gives life to garments that combine comfort and
performance with style and aesthetics, thus adapting to the most diverse applications.
Coatyarn is present at the 58th edition of Filo at stand B11.
