Filo no. 57 hosts Telethon in the name of research

Research is one of the keywords on which Filo’s action is based. In a completely different context, research is the mission of Fondazione Telethon.
It is therefore on the basis of a shared awareness that only by believing and investing in research the well-being of people can be improved that the paths of Filo and Fondazione Telethon meet at the 57th edition of the Yarns and Fibers Salon.
For over 30 years the mission of Fondazione Telethon has been to put the word cure next to the name of every rare genetic disease.
At the 57th edition of Filo the Telethon staff will be ready to explain:
• the problems the Fondazione is concerned with, namely rare genetic diseases
• highlight the activities and projects that the Fondazione carries out
• show the path of research from the first explorations, up to the cure
• present stories of some beneficiaries successfully treated with gene therapy
There is no particular story on which Telethon staff will focus: some will tell about Leukodystrophy, others about research on genetic diseases in general, others still about gene therapy, the common thread that runs through everything.
The 57th edition of Filo will take place on the 23rd and 24th of February 2022 at MiCo – Milano Convention Center (via Gattamelata 5).
