CELC EUROPEAN LINEN, A RESPONSIBLE FIBER

The European Confederation of Flax and Hemp is present as usual at the 58th edition of Filo.

Recently CELC has published the initial results of a strategic study based on a life cycle analysis of European flax, conducted using the PEF (Product Environmental Footprint) method of the European Community. CELC is the first agro-industrial textile sector to use these criteria to measure its own environmental impact and to provide partners with reliable data for assessing the impact of their products made of European flax fibre, solidifying the position of it as a responsible fibre. Grown in Western Europe, European Flax represents the 80% of global production and is a market leader. Study and results are available on the site www.europeanflax.com/LCA.
