Filo62: Speaking Italian Silk

Nine centuries of production of silk cocoons and threads have been distinguished Italian silky textile tradition, which was interrupted in the 1970s with the closure of the spinning mills. Is possible today to restart the production silk in Italy? The initiative of Tecnoseta, which rebuilt all phases of the supply chain – mulberry seedlings and sericulture, industrial and sales ones – by innovating production technologies, is relaunching an essential economic activity for Made in Italy.

In the scope of the Dialoghi di Confronto of the 62nd Filo edition, Massimo Proia and Maddalena Mariani, CTO and Project Manager of Tecnoseta respectively, will talk about a new territorial development model based on sericulture, during the talk entitled “The silk which speak only Italian. The relaunch of an excellence’s supply chain”.
