CELC at the 58th edition of Filo

CELC- European Confederation of Flax and Hemp is protagonist at the “Dialoghi di Confronto” of
the 58th edition of Filo. The talk led by CELC is entitled “Linen, an expanding textile industry”.
The appointment is at Allianz MiCo-Milano, Filo Networking Area
Wednesday September 14, 2022, at 3.30 pm
The conference is dedicated to the Linen, natural fiber of great modernity for its intrinsic
characteristics of naturalness and comfort with a great potential of development, thanks to its
sustainability. CELC is the only European agro-industrial organization that groups all the stages of
production and transformation of linen and hemp. CELC supports a pipeline of excellence in a
global context. A mission grounded on the innovative and environmentally of its fibres which are
guaranteed by the traceability certifications European Flax® and Masters of Linen®, promoted
among professionals and consumers.
During the conference, led by Ornella Bignami (Elementi Moda), Damien Durand – Economics
Manager de CELC will illustrate the importance of the expansion of linen textile industry, leading
European fibre in the world and the projects of the re-industrialization of yarns production. He will
focus on which are the perspectives for the future and the involvement of new spinning and
weaving mills both in Europe and in other countries for basic product for mass consumption.
Pierluigi Fusco Girard – CEO of Linificio e Canapificio Nazionale, the spinning mill that produces
linen and hemp yarns of high quality – will introduce the new yarns realized with Lino d’Italia, the
first and unique product that has been cultivated, spun, woven and traced 100% Made in Italy.
CELC welcomes visitors at the stand D4 of the 58th edition of Filo.
The 58th edition of Filo takes place on the 14th and 15th of September 2022 at Allianz MiCo –
Milan (via Gattamelata 5).
