“Believe in young people’, a requirement more than a wish for Italy, highlighted also by the Italian President of the Republic in delivering his inaugural speech. Filo makes its own the requirement during the opening ceremony of the 57th edition of Filo, scheduled on the 23rd of February 2022 at 10.30 a.m. at MiCo – Milan.

“Believe in young people’, that’s how Filo has entitled the opening ceremony of the 57th edition of Filo. As can easily be understood from participants’ parterre, listed below, it is immediately evident that this captivating title refers to the multiplicity of crucial issues for Italian manufacture, especially textile industry, that will be dealt with during the discussion: education and training, generational change in companies, intrinsic values of craftmanship to be matched with more innovative research and care for sustainability. Paolo Monfermoso, Responsible for Filo, explains the reason for the choice: “With the title ‘Believe in young people’ Filo gives the floor to young entrepreneurs and managers who decided to work in textile-apparel-fashion and accessories’ industry. They are best suited for explaining the opportunities of our industry to young people about to choose a course of study or a job to explain Moreover, They are best suited for explaining satisfaction resulting from a job that finds new stimuli at every season, where craftmanship, excellence, creativity, and passion have still a fundamental role”.
Paolo Monfermoso (Responsible for Filo) and Pier Francesco Corcione (President of ITS-TAM Biella) will open the 57th Filo edition. The following round table will be introduced and lead by Francesco Ferraris (President of Gruppo Giovani Industrali (Young Entrepreneurs) – Sistema Moda Italia). Among the speakers: Marco Cardinalini (Cardinalini & C.), Alessia Crivelli (Crivelli Gioielli; Vice President of Confindustria Federorafi), Chiara Marconi and Federica Tirani (Chité Milano), Silvia Moglia (Director of ITS-TAM Biella), Roberto Circelli, former ITS TAM student – PM Suedwolle Group.
The 57th edition of Filo will take place on the 23rd and 24th of February 2022 at MiCo – Milan (via Gattamelata 5).
