\nThe collaboration along textile supply chain represents the main topic of the 65th edition of Filo, in the belief that only through a united supply chain, which promotes dialogue among all players belonging to the system, is possible to overcome the challenges which textile industry must face. One of the most important and difficult challenge for textile industry is undoubtedly the one concerning sustainability. Filo has decided to tackle it with a new approach, that finds its expression in the Sustainability Area, which once again has been created in collaboration with C.L.A.S.S., the eco-hub founded by Giusy Bettoni. This is an area which gathers sustainable and innovative proposals, located in the Networking Area of the Exhibition.
\nThe Sustainability Area of the 65th edition of Filo deals with two important topics: \u2018Native Wools\u2019 on one hand, and the evolution of the Insideout values discourse, which began last season.
\nNative wool is an identifying feature of local areas, expressing a centuries-old relationship among landscapes, rural communities and pastoral systems. The Sustainability Area, curated by C.L.A.S.S., offers an immersive journey into this reality, highlighting the richness of local sheep farming, local areas and traditional knowledge, able to project traditions into new and surprising applications in contemporary textiles. It has been possible to deal with this theme thanks to the synergy and coordination between C.L.A.S.S. and Patrizia Maggia, President of Agenzia Lane d\u2019Italia.
\nThe Filo Sustainability Area will feature case histories selected by C.L.A.S.S., showing how the Native Wools supply chain turns into niche, high-quality products that bring great value to fashion, furniture and interior design industries. Several valuable companies will share their experiences with native wools: Fibre Gentili, Piacenza 1733, Lanificio Paoletti \u2013 MTF, the interior design brand Mariantonia Urru; Agenzia Lane d’Italia, Marlaine project – funded by the Interreg Italy-France Maritime Programme with the National Research Council as leading partner, the Institute for BioEconomy. The Area also stresses once more the new invisible, but measurable values of the new generation wardrobe: Ethics, Social Initiatives, Transparency and Traceability, Environment, Health, Circular Economy Initiatives, Design, Ingredients, Production, Dyeing and Finishing. Ten parameters that run through the whole textile supply chain and that Insideout project by C.L.A.S.S. aims at making visible and easy to communicate: the current challenge is launching a campaign intended for end users, focused on awareness, education and participation through a new way of communicating, involving supply chain, industry and designers.
\nThe Native Wools theme proposed in the Sustainability Area aims at fostering a positive and concrete dialogue among professionals, designers and visitors, showing how promoting native wools can become a viable path for responsible and contemporary textile industry, where tradition and innovation get stronger, giving rise to solid and competitive supply chains rooted in the local areas.<\/p>\n
A discussion that begins in the Sustainability Area of Filo65 and, again in collaboration with CLASS, is further explored through two talks of the \u2018Dialoghi di Confronto\u2019: \u2018Native Wools: From local sheep farming to territories, customised supply chains and knowledge for contemporary textile industry\u2019 (Wednesday 11 February, 2.30 p.m.) and \u2018InsideOut – Visible and invisible values in the new generation wardrobe. A new language to communicate them, from supply chain to consumers\u2019 (Wednesday 11 February, 3.30 p.m.).<\/p>\n
Both panels will emphasise the central role of the supply chain in achieving a product capable of concretely face the challenges of an increasingly complex market.
\nThe 65th edition of Filo is scheduled to be held on the 11th and 12th of February 2026 at Fiera Milano Rho, Hall 5.<\/p>\n
