\nFor years, Filo has given ample space to fibers, to offer visitors and exhibitors a vision as broad as possible of the supply chain and to encourage the development of collaboration between the different stages from upstream to downstream. In this process, Filo has found the full collaboration of leading companies in the textile sector, such as Lenzing.<\/p>\n
In particular, the TENCEL\u2122 fiber, produced by the company based in Austria, greatly softens the hand of fabrics and is highly appreciated in blends with cotton, linen, hemp, wool, cashmere, silk, and often polyester, especially for sportswear and workwear to improve performance.<\/p>\n
It is fantastic in blends with mechanically recycled cottons and wools. TENCEL\u2122 Lyocell is known for its flexibility in giving silky hands or to obtain peach effects. This \u201cflexibility\u201d, however, requires specific knowledge of fiber fibrillation and the three types of Lyocell offered by Lenzing: TENCEL\u2122 Lyocell standard, TENCEL\u2122 Lyocell LF and TENCEL\u2122 Lyocell A100.<\/p>\n
As part of the \u201cDialoghi di Confronto\u201d of the 63rd edition of Filo, Carlo Covini (Lenzing Business Manager Italy & Switzerland) will illustrate to the Filo audience the possible developments of the combination of such particular fibers, in the talk entitled \u201cCross-linked TENCEL\u2122 fibers: The Ideal Partner for Blends with Natural & Recycled Fibers – Innovations with TENCEL\u2122 Lyocell LF and TENCEL\u2122 Lyocell 100\u201d.<\/p>\n
