The 54th edition of Filo promises to be the recovery\u2019s Exhibition as far as yarns\u2019 industry is concerned. The exhibition is held at MiCo \u2013 Milan Convention Centre (via Gattamelata 5) on the 7th and the 8th of October 2020 and the interest of operators for the event is increasing. Indeed, the 54th edition of Filo will be the first yarns international fair to be held after the Covid-19 epidemic. This will allow to go back to direct contacts with Italian and international clients and buyers, with the aim at leaving behind the past months, which have been difficult from both a human and a business point of view. <\/p>\n
Paolo Monfermoso, general manager of Filo, highlights: \u201cExhibitions represent a fundamental tool for the promotion and communication of textile products. That is especially true for fairs like Filo, which are set upstream of the supply chain. Virtual world and online meetings surely helped us during the lockdown period, when physical meetings were impossible to be carried out. We – as Filo staff \u2013 have used a webinar \u2013 highly appreciated and participated \u2013 to show the product development proposals of the 54th edition. However, now is the time to go back to doing business through the real platforms of the fairs, to \u201ctouch\u201d the products, to meet real people, to network and to discover new clients and markets. Filo is working to offer all these things to the companies that will take part, both as exhibitors and visitors, in its 54th edition. We want the October edition to be an opportunity for recovery for the textile industry. Exhibitors participation \u2013 which is already over the 80% of subscriptions – is confirming this intention to start again, with renewed energy. The past months were difficult for the textile industry; manufacture had to stop just during a crucial time for the presentation of collections and it gradually had to face all the uncertainties connected to a recovery that is registering a deep change in consumption and habits. For this reason, starting from Filo, we want to show that our industry can get back to its growth path, including from the entrepreneurial point of view, basing on key principles such as quality, ethics, sustainability\u201d. <\/p>\n
