The international exhibition of yarns and fibres for woven and knitted fabrics for apparel, furnishing and technical textile.

Since 1933, FILO aims at being a fundamental and unique B2B meeting place within the international textile high- tech and high-quality panorama. FILO is the only international fair held in Italy specifically dedicated to high-end yarns. The fair lasts two days and is repeated into two editions per year. It has been held for several years in Milan in the months of February and September. From September 2025, due to significant growth of the fair, the location was moved to of Rho Fiera Milano coinciding with Lineapelle, thanks to a major synergy initiative implemented by the two events.

With the aim of making FILO an effective supply chain platform, capable of offering new developments in the search for increasingly innovative yarns, from several editions FILO has opened to dyeing and finishing mills, as well as fibres suppliers. In fact, these companies represent the up and downstream link of spinning and showing these processes, alongside those of spinning, allow an overall vision of the potential in textile development and production. The presence of organizations for the promotion of natural noble fibres and of some leading groups working in the production of man-made fibres gives an overall view for the creation of a high quality and eco-friendly end-product.

On average, FILO has over 100 exhibitors, of which 70% comes from Italy and 30% from abroad, while visitors are represented by manufacturers of fabrics for apparel industry, furniture and circular knitwear, and most of them are part of technical staff, designers, and product managers. The number of visitors is constantly growing and about 33% of them are from all Europe and Asia. The access to the trade fair is free but reserved for operators working in this field.
