WELCOME TO THE 64th EDITION OF FILO!

  • News

Filo, the International Yarn and Fiber Exhibition, welcomes you to its 64th edition.

The fair takes place in the new venue of Fiera Milano Rho – Hall 14.

From the very entrance to the fair, visitors immediately feel in tune with exhibitors’ flagship products, displayed in the Trends Area and the Quick Delivery Area.

The Accessories Area, located at the center of the exhibition space, is one of the new features of the 64th edition, while the Sustainability Area has been completely renovated to incorporate the concept of “responsible innovation.” Created in collaboration with C.L.A.S.S., the space offers a carefully selected selection of materials and traceability platforms, with concrete examples of responsible innovation. This space also features the InsideOut Value System by C.L.A.S.S., for next-generation communication that seeks to highlight the authentic and measurable values – visible and invisible, inside and out – that define a forward-looking wardrobe.

A large space at the 64th edition of Filo is dedicated to innovation, with Made in Filo at the forefront. This collection of fabrics was created by Filo based on inspiration from ViceVersa (Filo’s product development proposals), using exhibitors’ yarns and the best manufacturing techniques.

The opening ceremony of the 64th edition of Filo will take place at 10:30 a.m. today, September 23. The event’s title is “Innovation, Sustainability, Legality: The Future of Made in Italy.” Introductory remarks will be given by Paolo Monfermoso, responsible of Filo; Pier Francesco Corcione, General Manager of Unione Industriale Biellese; Elena Chiorino, Vice President of the Piedmont Region. Minister of the Environment and Energy Security Gilberto Pichetto Fratin, and President of the ITA Agency Matteo Zoppas will send messages. The round table discussion will follow, moderated by Laura Ricardi (journalist – UIB Press Office). Speakers: Mauro Chezzi, Deputy Director of Confindustria Moda and Association Representative for Retex.Green; Giovanni Marchi, President of MagnoLab; Francesca Rulli, Co-founder of Ympact and Founder of 4sustainability; and Luca Sburlati, President of Confindustria Moda.
Simultaneous translation of the event is provided for foreign visitors.

Throughout the two days of the fair, the Networking Area will feature the “Dialoghi di Confronto.” These short talks, led by prominent figures in the textile and fashion industry, will address key industry topics, primarily sustainability and traceability. The full program is available here.

The 64th edition of Filo awaits you at Fiera Milano Rho – Hall 14.
