Filo, the International Yarn and Fiber Exhibition, welcomes you to the 60th edition.

The focal point of the visit to Filo is the Area dei Dialoghi Creativi, which offers the flagship products of the exhibitors’ collections. Within the Area you will find “Quick Delivery” and “Un Filo per la maglia”. The inspiration is taken from the “Alchemies” proposed by Gianni Bologna (responsible for creativity and style at Filo).

The Sustainability Area highlights the products of companies that join Filo’s sustainability project, FiloFlow. The specific Filo “Green” catalog is available to visitors in the Sustainability Area, with exhibitors who join FiloFlow, and which complements the general catalogue.

The calendar of debates and meetings is rich. At 10 am today 20 September the appointment is with the opening ceremony of the 60th edition of Filo. The topic of the event is “Good, Healthy, Clean, Fair and Durable Textiles: Slow Fiber”. Guests: Dario Casalini, founder of “Slow Fiber”; Barbara Nappini, president of Slow Food Italy. Participating in the event: Paolo Monfermoso (Responsible of Filo), Gilberto Pichetto Fratin (Minister of the Environment and Energy Security); Elena Chiorino (Councillor for Education, Work, Professional Training, Right to University Education of the Piedmont Region); Pier Francesco Corcione (President of ITS TAM Biella).

During the two days of the fair, within the Networking Area, the “Dialoghi di Confronto” take place. These are short talks, led by leading personalities in the textile-fashion sector, during which highly topical issues for the sector are addressed, first and foremost sustainability and traceability. On the occasion of the 60th edition of Filo, a lively and essential exhibition is set up at the entrance to the fair, which retraces the thirty years of activity of the Yarn and Fiber Exhibition.
