TWO GOALS FOR TEXTILE INNOVATION

As a driver for industry’s development and growth, innovation within textile sector is paving two ways, both important and destined to cross together. Indeed, there is an innovation aiming at offering to the market new products, in relation to style and performance too. But there is also a textile innovation addressed to a greater industry’s sustainability. The two sides of innovation are often at the core of Filo’s “Dialoghi di Confronto”.

Saving energy or water along the textile supply chain represents an urgent need for protecting the environment, but during energy crisis’ time, it also represents a need in relation to corporate budget.
In this sense, technological innovation has played – and still plays – an essential role in textile industry’s advance toward more sustainable processes. In parallel, market demands from textile industry a continuous innovation in products’ range, looking for new materials and solutions to improve quality and increase products’ value, together with consumers’ wellness, always giving particular attention to sustainability.
This kind of results can be achieved only through an increasingly strong collaboration along the supply chain. In order to meet the challenges, Filo is increasingly proposing itself as a working platform where to exchange ideas and projects, where supply chain’s alliances sprout and grow among the booths and in the areas dedicated to dialogue and exchange.
