“Filo comes back from the roadshow and from its participation both in Itma and Milano Unica with many positive hints”: the comments by Paolo Monfermoso, general manager of Filo, about the Exhibition summer assignments is marked by great satisfaction.
The beginning of summer 2019 coincided with a period of intense activity for Filo. During the first half of June a number of meetings have been organised in some Italian textile districts – Biella, Milan and Prato, after the meeting with foreign operators held in Paris – in order to launch the 52nd edition of Filo, scheduled on the 25th and 26th of September 2019 at Palazzo delle Stelline in Milan. While FiloFlow, the Filo’s sustainability project, has been at the core of the participation in Acimit’s conference during Itma Barcelona. During the three days at Milano Unica, through an installation within the MU Trend Area, the power of the textile supply chain has emerged.
Paolo Monfermoso states: “The first element I want to highlight after the period of meetings with exhibitors, professionals and institutions in the textile industry is the growing awareness that quality of materials, sustainability and traceability are concepts which are intertwined and interconnected among them. Interest for Filo is increasing as well as the awareness that the quality and the sustainability of fabrics and garments start upstream of the supply chain, from excellent yarns as the ones exhibited at Filo. The other crucial element is the importance of synergies, a concept on which we have been insisting and working for several years. Filo’s collaborations together with ITA-Agency for internationalisation, with Sistema Moda Italia and Milano Unica for strengthening the excellence of Italian textile supply chain represent an example of how ‘working in team’ is the only possible choice for a system willing to continue to grow on a top-quality basis. Synergy has now been broadened to machinery, thanks also to the cooperation that we have established with Acimit”.
