The 53rd Filo edition, the international fair of yarns and fibres for orthogonal weaving and circular knitwear and for technical materials, will take place on Thursday 27 and Friday 28 February 2020 at MiCo – Milan Convention Centre. The address of the new venue chosen by Filo is: 5, via Gattamelata, Milan.
Paolo Monfermoso, general manager of Filo, explains the reasons behind the change of location: “After many years of a very positive collaboration with Le Stelline, we have faced a difficult choice: over the last years Filo has grown and the Palazzo delle Stelline no longer had the necessary space to ensure more services to exhibitors and visitors. The decision to leave the long-term venue for Filo comes from the need to offer additional services, as a fair like ours requires. MiCo gives us a wider exhibition area, that we will use to offer exhibitors and visitors many services that we couldn’t make available before because of lack of space’.
In the new exhibiting areas at MiCo, indeed, the Trends Area of Filo will be wider, and with a new layout, in order to better enhance the exhibitors’ proposals. The FiloLounge, the area reserved to exhibitors and the press, will be larger, too. In the meantime, new working and relax areas will be set out for visitors, so that they can gather ideas between appointments.
Filo has chosen MiCo since it combines the functionality of exhibiting spaces with its strategic position. Near the new City Life district, the area is easily accessible both by car and by underground and it has fast connections with highways, and Milan railway station and airports.
