The importance of being Filo

The 45th edition of Filo – which had been carried out on the 2nd and 3rd of March 2016 – has concluded with great professionals’ satisfaction and once more it has shown that this exhibition represents a crucial date within the international textile fairs’ panorama. Paolo Monfermoso, the responsible for Filo, describes the plans for the second 2016 half year.

The 45th edition has just concluded and Paolo Monfermoso is already projected towards the 46th Filo, which is scheduled to be held on the 28th and 29th of September. “The trends and the results of March edition are a great satisfaction for us, but they also strengthen the awareness that we cannot stay still. The philosophy of chasing change for change does not belong to us, but with a view to the 46th edition, we are developing some actions that focus on strengthening Filo’s communication, especially abroad”. Monfermoso continues saying that “synergy between upstream and downstream pipeline is obviously needed, in particular to highlight Made in Italy’s value on foreign markets and Filo is ready to widen the opportunities for creating a real cooperation along the pipeline. However, Filo will do that without waiving its essential feature, which represents indeed the reason for its success: presenting itself as a platform which creates opportunities to do business for the companies participating at Filo. During the exhibition, this standard takes the form of fostering the meeting between demand and supply of very high-quality yarns, while during the rest of the year, we do this looking for and showing to the companies new opportunities which we consider appropriate for their growth or their internationalisation”.
