Commenting the 46th edition of Filo, the general manager Paolo Monfermoso referred to the general satisfaction expressed by exhibitors about the exhibition results. Here are the comments by some of the exhibitors, gathered at the end of the second day of exhibition.
Roberto Rimoldi from Filatura Luisa: “Despite being a season not particularly strong for us, the exhibition performed well, with a number of clients in line with the equivalent edition. However, the number of foreign visitors has increased, coming from European countries and Japan. All of them were well-selected and qualified buyers. Our naturals’ collection was particularly appreciated, for its high content of research”.
Paola Rossi, from Botto Poala: “We were satisfied with the trend of these two days of Filo: we met many buyers, both Italian and foreign ones, European and Japanese in particular. We have not just met clients, but also new buyers, confirming that Filo is a proactive exhibition. In particular, our colour card, very huge also in the basic collection in wool and silk, has been appreciated”.
Vincenzo Caneparo from Davifil: “We were very satisfied with the number and the quality of visitors we had received during the fair. We met new possible clients, most of whom comes from Europe. Filo confirms to be a very high standard exhibition. Buyers especially appreciated natural yarns: for the summer season, yarns are made of linen, hemp, cotton, jute and mixed yarns in their natural colours”.
Giovanni Marchi from Marchi e Fildi “During the 46th edition, we received several visits, despite they were concentrated in a short time of the two working days. We have seen many clients, both consolidated and new ones, Italian and foreign ones, especially French. Buyers demonstrated special interest on research items, they appreciate new proposals and products that innovate compared to usual ones. Research is one of our major strengths, as shown by our smart cotton Ecotec by Marchi & Fildi: completely made in Italy, it is obtained through an exclusive production process, completely traceable and certified. It transforms pre-dyed textile clippings in 100% cotton yarn with a record saving of water and energy”.
Francesco Della Porta from Pozzi Electa: “We are very satisfied, we registered a good participation of buyers, who were qualified and effective. We met more Italian buyers than foreign ones, since our production is totally Made in Italy, and it is totally carried out by self-produced power (photovoltaic and hydro-power)”.
Anna Mello Rella from Tintoria di Quaregna: “Our company is totally happy: Filo is a very well organised and professional fair. The Trends Area itself impressed us in a positive way for proving extremely practical, job-oriented, without concessions to exterior emotionality”.
Cesare Savio from Südwollegroup-Safil: “A very positive Filo edition. This is the first time that Südwolle-Safil shows a fully integrated collection. Clients demonstrated huge interest for the proposal of adaptable and comfortable yarns for weaving”.
Gianni Fantini from Filatura e Tessitura di Tollegno: ‘This is the first time at Filo for our company and we are satisfied with our participation: this is not our “strong” season, even though we showed a spring collection, with silk, nylon viscose blends. We are sure that at the next edition, our proposals will receive even more attention”.
