The 46th edition of Filo: textile innovation grows together with PoinTex
The cooperation between Filo and PoinTex-Textile Innovation Cluster is renewed. After the success reached in March 2016, ‘Black Room’ and ‘White Room’, implemented by PoinTex, are back on the 46th edition. Within the first room, the already developed projects or ongoing ones can be examined in details, through videos, prototypes and various records. While on the second one, technicians of PoinTex are ready to meet participants at Filo, explaining the activities of the research centre and listening to the needs of companies. In other words, foundations for possible future collaborations and new textile developments are laid down.
Marco Bardelle, president of PoinTex, declares “During the past edition of Filo we recorded a huge interest about our activity, and we especially had the opportunity to listen to the requests and the needs of highly qualified companies. Particularly stimulating ideas and reflections’ exchanges occurred, just because Filo is a business-to-business fair, and we share the final objective: product and process’s innovation within the textile-apparel chain. These are the reasons why we decided to repeat the experience and to be present at the 46th Filo edition”. Bardelle adds that “In the meantime, PoinTex has grown, the number of associates increased, and we have implemented new projects which implicate also big companies. PoinTex is working, in partnership with all the main production sectors involved, as the leader nominated to the candidacy of the new national technology Cluster for designers, creativity and made in Italy, one of the twelve priority areas identified by the government for industrial research. The Cluster’s main task is coordinating both public and private research, shared among the main industrial and territorial representatives. This is a goal PoinTex has been pursuing since it was born, focusing on involving into a common action the different actors of the textile chain of our territory”.
Pointex (www.pointex.eu) is an association of companies, consortia and research organizations. Its goal is to promote industrial competitiveness through cooperative innovation, and to strengthen the local manufacturing textile field, operating in order to establish strong international networks.
