That’s how photography becomes fabric

“Say it with flowers” seems to suggest the capsule collection through which the trademark Elena Mirò celebrated its first 30 years. Flowers photographed by Gian Paolo Barbieri are indeed the protagonists of the collection, made up of kaftans, t-shirts, foulards and bags.

Recognised as one of the most important fashion photographers, Gian Paolo Barbieri ‘lent’ to Elena Mirò some of its flowers’ photos in order to create an ‘art à-porter’ collection, characterised by printings in bright colours on fluid and light fabrics. A collection that looks at nature not only in the subjects, but also in the production: fabrics, indeed, are printed with eco-friendly solutions, through water saving technology, which allows water savings accounting for 50% compared to traditional printings.
