Filo is increasingly representing the place where textile yarns and materials’ supply and demand meet, according to a sustainable creativity’s concept. Strengthened by this feature, the Exhibition aims at offering exhibitors and visitors a vision of the textile supply chain: a key approach to face current and urgent issues such as sustainability, traceability, and circular economy.

Filo’s attention to sustainable creativity and the supply chain is a strong point of the fair’s strategy: this is demonstrated by the presence among the exhibitors of yarn, fiber and knitwear producers and dyers. But other initiatives taken by Filo also demonstrate this: first of all, the Salone’s sustainability project, FiloFlow, which is proposed as a supply chain tracing project; as well as the participation of Filo in Milano Unica. As Paolo Monfermoso, the responsible for Filo, states: “Filo has always been open to any kind of collaboration and synergy, aiming at working for the companies and the exhibitors in an efficient and positive way. The space we reserve for fibre producers and to dyeing mills during the exhibition prove that. But so is the attention we pay to propose products meeting sustainable creativity’s standards, i.e. products designed to be at the same time made according to eco-friendly criteria, but also the result of innovative and creative solutions, so that they can be the basis of garments able to attract increasingly demanding consumers. Starting from the 62nd edition in September we will continue to pursue these goals, , since we are convinced that they are the winning asset to ensure a successful future for the whole textile industry.”
