The 54th edition of Filo was visited by some distinguished guests. The Italian Minister for Education, Lucia Azzolina, albeit through a video message, sent a salute for the exhibition opening. The exhibition was visited also by Elena Chiorino, Councillor for Training, Education and Employment of Piedmont Region, Giovanni Vietti, President of Unione Industriale Biellese, and by Mr Massimo Giletti, a famous Italian anchorman.
In her salute Minister Azzolina focused on technical and professional education, declaring her commitment to “consistent and updated didactic proposals designed to meet companies’ needs, with special support to Higher Technical Institutes (ITS), an growing and convincing educational model for Italy.” While Councillor Chiorino commented: “It is key that Italy defines an industrial policy, on the basis of which investments on innovation and training should be set, particularly on technical education, to ensure to the companies the necessary skills for their development.”
Mr. Massimo Giletti visited Filo playing a special role, since his family company was one of the exhibiting companies and he stressed how “Filo represents the Italy which does not give up, that does not de-localize and that today wants to re-start.”
The president of the Unione Industriale Biellese, Giovanni Vietti, also visited the show. His was the first visit as president of the UIB, but Vietti knows the Salon well, since Acqua Lauretana, the company he is the owner of, is a historical sponsor of Filo and has always accompanied the two days of work of exhibitors and visitors.
