Those good results achieved in October 2015 through the ‘number 0’ edition – as Paolo Monfermoso, responsible for Filo, defined it – brought to the confirmation of Filo’s presence at the textile fair in Shanghai. The participation of Filo in Shanghai in October 2016 has been confirmed in the scope of the cooperation and synergy with Milano Unica – as it was for 2015; for the occasion, image and communication will be share between these two entities. The functional support of ICE-Agency shall remain unchanged; exhibitors will therefore be able to work in truly favourable conditions.

However, the positioning of Filo will change, since in October 2016 it will be inside the Yarn Expo. The exhibition area reserved for Filo-Shanghai will have a very recognisable lay out, which describes the image of Italian companies in Shanghai; the same will be therefore used by those weaving mills that participate in Milano Unica Shanghai, to make the identity of Italian textile pipeline immediately recognisable.

The number of exhibitors will mainly change: not just few pioneering companies will be present, but a wide group of Italian spinning mills which would comprise a minimum number of 20 exhibitors, in order to carry out this initiative. The aim of Filo is indeed to propose to Asian buyers a real exhibition of ‘made in Italy’ yarns within Yarn Expo; for this reason, within a very wide market, a number representing less participants than 20 would not be sufficient to make visitors understand the contents of quality and professionalism that Italian spinning mills are able to offer.
