“IMAGINARY GEOGRAPHIES” FOR THE 59th EDITION OF FILO

  • News

Imaginary Geographies”, the video with the creative proposals of the 59th edition of Filo carried out by Gianni Bologna, has been online since December 14. The views it has already reached prove the appreciation by textile professionals for the choices made by Filo.

The “Dialoghi Creativi” proposed each edition by Filo really represent true suggestions as far as technique and style are concerned.
Exhibitors, and in general professionals working within textile industry, have at their disposal a whole virtual book of textile solutions which can be viewed at any time and everywhere in the world: a smart and valuable working tool helping companies in developing their collections.
The topic chosen for the 59th edition of Filo is “Imaginary Geographies”; it is divided into three textile suggestions, all led by a continuous search for beauty. Therefore, for example, in “Other Lands” we find knitwear recalling vegetable shapes and jacquard with large patterns, camelhair and alpaca, elegance and street baroque, light and high-tech typologies, linen and formal wool, hyper-twisted wools, extremely elegant wools and man-made. “Other Seas” proposes bright and high-performance fabrics, waterproof typologies in natural and man-made fibres, colour effects, matter, twisting, covering or invisible coatings. In “Other Skies”, we find various shapes of jacquard, lace and meshes, surfaces rich in volume, the silky version of men’s formal style, iridescent effect on man-made, veil and tulle. These are just some examples of the wide range of proposals made in “Imaginary Geographies”: for a more detailed and extensive vision of it, the video is available online on Filo’s website.
