For the 44th edition of Filo, the Ice-Agency, Sistema Moda Italia and Filo have organized the meeting “Il filo della conoscenza” (The thread of knowledge), to present the study “Comparative analysis between Europe and the United States of the eco-toxicological standards in the textile, clothing, leather goods and footwear sectors”.
This report was prepared by the Associazione Tessile e Salute and commissioned by the Ice-Agency under the extraordinary promotional programme of Made in Italy promoted by the Ministry of Economic Development.
The objective of the study carried out by the Associazione Tessile e Salute, and to be reported at Filo (30 September at 3 p.m. – Sala Pirelli – corso Magenta 59 – Milan) is to identify a common ground of regulatory and technical standards in the US market, an outlet of primary importance for the Italian fashion exports. For this reason, a closer examination of the negotiations on the Free Trade Agreement between Europe and the United States (Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership – Ttip) will be useful and this study will provide the companies with a comprehensive map of the regulations and systems in force in the US market as well as a methodology to meet their requirements.
After the opening statements by the Ice Agency, Smi and Filo, Mauro Rossetti, director of the Associazione Tessile e Salute, will present the study. Gianpaolo Bruno, Director of the office for strategic planning, studies and foreign offices’ networks at Rome Ice-Agency, and Maria Ines Aronadio, Head of Consumer Goods Office, Rome Ice-Agency will also speak
