Lenzing is a world leading group in the production of cellulosic fibers. At Filo the company brought its flagships: TENCEL with Refibra technology; TENCEL – Modal Indigo; TENCEL Luxe; and TENCEL Carbon Zero. They are fibers made in the Lenzing plant in Attersee, Austria, with an innovative approach to wood extraction (from certified Pefc and Fsc forests), defined as “Lenzing biorefinery”. The production process implemented by Lenzing for its fibers was discussed in the context of “Dialoghi di Confronto”.

Lenzing’s attention to sustainability and circularity was well explained by Susanne Carls (Product Management TENCEL ™ Luxe, Lenzing) in her speech to the “Confrontation Dialogues”, entitled “From forest to filament to forest – TENCEL™ Luxe, the endless filament lyocell yarn offering a truly sustainable alternative to silk “. Carls illustrated the production process, features and uses of TENCEL Luxe: with its luxurious touch, the fiber is a plant-based and biodegradable alternative to silk.
