With figures on visitors that went well beyond expectations, in addition recording the return of some foreign buyers, the 56th edition of Filo closed its doors with decidedly positive results.
The 56th edition of Filo, held at MiCo – Milan Convention Centre – on the 29th and 30th of September was characterised by an atmosphere of participation and enthusiasm that has been felt among the booths starting from the opening for the fair.
Among many innovations carried out during the 56th edition of Filo, “Un Filo per la Maglia” – the new area dedicated to knitting – and the opening to fibres, with the presence of world leading companies within this industry, have aroused particular interest. September edition of Filo has confirmed the increasing interest to sustainability, to which the Exhibition has dedicated a specific trend area, putting FiloFlow, Filo’s sustainability project, at the heart of it. The general Trend Area has been totally re-designed, through an evocative and welcoming setting up, highlighting colours and materials. To complete the frame, there were the debates of “Dialoghi di Confronto”, the exhibition by the students attending ITS-TAM Biella, and the installation by Cittadellarte – Fondazione Pistoletto.
At the end of the 56th edition of Filo, Paolo Monfermoso, Exhibition’s General Manager, commented: “The two days at Filo have been intense, animated by the passion of our companies for a re-start of this sector based on enhancing unique products, resulting from the experience and the unmistakable processing for their quality. During a hard moment, Filo decided to invest, and we achieved great results. We have laid the foundations to look to the future with more confidence.”
