Filo is back to the Trend Area of Milano Unica
For the fourth time Filo is back to Milano Unica, the Italian Textile Exhibition, from the 9th to the 11th of July 2019 at Rho Fiera Milano.
Filo’s space is an integral part of the Trend Area of Milano Unica, inspired in the July 2019 edition to “Ecorotica”, where the two themes of sustainability and eroticism intertwin.
In this context, Filo provides the contribution of spinning with trends and yarns exhibited at the February 2019 edition of Filo: indeed, they represent the inspiration for the fabrics’ collections now exhibited at Milano Unica. All this is done through an installation that is even more “spectacular” than the previous ones.
Quality of materials and products and sustainability of production process are the two contents which strongly stand out from the trends proposed both by Filo and Milano Unica. Today, the focus on sustainability is what makes the continuity between the two Exhibitions even more explicit: Filo has launched the project FiloFlow, while Milano Unica has the project MU Sustainability Innovation, in its July edition declined into “FancyGreen, EverGreen”, where the aim is to connect the concept of sustainability with creativity.
Paolo Monfermoso, general manager of Filo, states: “The presence of Filo in Milano Unica is an initiative that has given great results in terms of visibility of our Exhibition. Indeed, it allow us to convey the contents of Filo to a wider audience of professionals in the textile industry, with positive impacts on visits to Filo. More generally, the presence of Filo in Milano Unica gives us the chance to convey to buyers from all over the world the excellence of the Italian supply chain, with Made in Italy textile proposals resulting from continuous research and innovation, both in materials and style. Starting from this edition, thanks to the launch of our project FiloFlow, the continuity between the two Exhibitions is gaining more power on the particular issue of sustainability. Filo and Milano Unica share the same vision on what is one of the crucial challenges for today and tomorrow’s textile-apparel industry: the fact that only by working in a supply chain context we can aim to sustainable production processes which lead to truly sustainable end products, both environmentally and ethically”.
The 52nd Filo edition will take place on the 25th and 26th of September 2019 at Palazzo delle Stelline in Milan (Corso Magenta 61).
