Spin Aker S.r.l., based in Usella, in the textile Prato area, produces Open End, Ring, Corespun, Fancy yarns, suitable for shuttle weaving and for circular knitting, in recycled and non-recycled materials, both natural, like cotton, linen, nettle and hemp, both synthetic and artificial, such as viscose, tencel, polyester and acrylic, and in precious materials such as wool, cashmere, silk and alpaca, mixed together or pure, raw or colored, both plain and melange. As well as offering yarns and colour cards with the latest market trends, Spin Aker offers a production service for yarns and colours according to customers requirements, as well as an efficient stock service on many items in the collection. The in-house laboratory also enables effective quality control and careful colour reproduction during development. Research, innovation and quality have always been the hallmarks of the organisation’s yarn offering. Spin Aker also aims to reduce the environmental impact of its operations by adopting an approach that is oriented towards the continuous monitoring and improvement of its performance. Continuous research assisted by attention to the theme of sustainability was reflected in an increase of the offer of yarns made from recycled and/or sustainable raw materials, also thanks to the obtaining of certification that allow to implement a traceability system of the supply chain and that attests the origin and processing methods of them.
