Slow Fiber was born from the meeting between Slow Food and some virtuous companies in the textile supply chain that want to represent the positive cultural change in the way of producing and consuming resources. Our commitment is aimed at creating Good industrial models that offer Beautiful, Healthy, Clean, Fair and Durable products, because they respect the dignity of the human being and nature in its delicate balance. Today more than ever it is essential to transform the methods of production and consumption of the planet’s resources and spread a new ethic and culture of dressing and furnishing among all its inhabitants. The strength of the Slow Fiber project lies in the companies and people involved, who every day not only act as spokespersons for these values but work concretely to make them possible and tangible, choosing and promoting suppliers and partners who share the same supply chain values. Slow Fiber also wants to protect and promote local supply chains that share the values of the Good, the Beautiful, the Healthy, the Clean, the Fair, the Durable and thus induce other companies to adopt the same virtuous and respectful industrial model.
