Associazione Tessile e Salute – Impresa Sociale (Third Sector entity), established in 2001, deals with sustainability and eco-toxicology and the relationship between the textile product and the human body, in the Textile and Fashion sector, has a Board of Directors composed of, among others, Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana, CNA Federmoda, Federchimica, Sistema Moda Italia, ECU European Consumers’ Union and more than 100 member companies, from 7 regions, most of them with Etich-et product and/or process certification.
It works in support of the Ministry of Health and in collaboration with the Istituto Superiore di Sanità, as a technical terminal for consumer health protection, regarding textile/leather/footwear items; it also collaborates with the Ministry of the Environment, the Ministry of Economic Development and ICE, as well as with the National Chamber of Fashion for the drafting of the National Guidelines on Chemical Sustainability in Textiles.
