The international exhibition of yarns and fibres for orthogonal weaving, circular knitwear, and technical fabrics.
With the aim of making FILO an effective supply chain proposal, capable of offering new developments and potentials in the search for increasingly innovative yarns, from several editions we have introduced the processing related with dyeing and finishing mills, as well as fibres, which represent the downstream link of spinning. The presence of organizations for the promotion of natural noble man-made fibres and the presence of some leading groups working in the production of man-made fibres offer an overall view for the creation of a high quality and eco-friendly end product.
The fair is held twice a year, in February and in September in Milan at MI.CO. The first edition took place in 1993. FILO (www.filo.it) ) is a B2B fair and lasts two days. It represents the unique international fair held in Italy specifically dedicated to top-of-the-range yarns.
On average, FILO has over 100 exhibitors, of which 60% comes from Italy and 40% from abroad.
Visitors are represented by manufacturers of fabrics for apparel industry, furniture, and circular knitwear and the majority of them are part of technical staff, designers, and product managers. The number of visitors is constantly growing and about 33% of them are from all Europe and Asia – especially from Japan and Korea. The access to the trade fair is free but reserved to the operators working in this field.
FILO aims at being a fundamental and unique meeting within the international textile high-tech fair-trade panorama.
