In February 2019 Filo launched a new project: “FiloFlow”. The aim of the project is to highlight the exhibiting companies that adopt sustainable production processes.
The initiative involves the exhibitors of Filo on a voluntary and self-certified basis and focuses on raw materials, supply chain traceability, energy consumption, chemical management, waste management, environmental monitoring and involvement in ethical-social activities.
For several editions, Filo in cooperation with the Italian Trade Agency-ITA, and Sistema Moda Italia, have been developing a project whose purpose is to host at Filo delegations of foreign buyers coming from countries particularly interesting to the exhibitors. The incoming project is matching a highly professional demand with a top-quality offer.
Over the years, Filo has built a strong partnership with Sistema Moda Italia with the aim of strengthening synergies along the textile-fashion supply chain. From 2018, the same approach has led Filo to be present in the Trend Area of Milano Unica with a showcase only dedicated to the sustainable yarns of exhibitors.
Accordingly, Filo has also decided to reserve part of its exhibition space to a selected group of companies in the textile finishing sector (dyeing firms, in particular). This choice allows the Italian and foreign buyers of Filo to gather a complete picture of possible textile solutions starting from the products of excellence proposed at the exhibition.
