The Fashion Global Summit 2015 was held in Milan at the beginning of July, an event organized by Class Editori in collaboration with the National Chamber of Italian Fashion. The title: “Eat as you dress”.
“Eat as you dress” is the title of the Fashion Global Summit this year, organized by Class Editori. A tribute to Expo 2015, but also the acknowledgement that today fashion must embody not only quality but also sustainability, that is health and environment protection.
As affirmed Carlo Capasa, president of Camera della Moda, “our work also means being able to listen to consumers, 80% of which believe that sustainability will be an important guideline of purchases in the coming years”. A sustainable production can, therefore, be convenient to companies as it opens new growth opportunities. “A sustainable fashion chain should be created, but it’s quite expensive and for the time being this is not a priority as it is for food – said Renzo Rosso (Diesel) – It will take a longer time, but we will attain it, too”.
