Do foreign capitals love Made in Italy?

Italian companies are open to the arrival of foreign capitals? The issue was discussed at the recent XV Forum organized by Comitato Leonardo – Italian quality committee. During the meeting, a research on the subject conducted by KPMG Advisory for Comitato Leonardo was presented.

In his speech at the Forum, the president of Confindustria Vincenzo Boccia stressed: “The ability of Italian companies to open up, attracting investments, intercepting the worldwide growth flows requires a major cultural growth, which results – as shown by the research – in increased competitiveness. To grow up, our companies need to think big, and our role is to support them and assisting them in the various stages of this route, with a national institutional and economic system that should become more and more reliable and attractive”.

Boccia’s comments were echoed by Michele Scannavini’s remarks. The president of ITA-Italian Trade Agency president said: “Italy is improving its perception abroad; today our country is a more attractive place to enhance productive investments. That inevitably translates into higher growth, development, employment and prosperity. ITA-Italian Trade Agency Ice-Agency is working on this front, too, enhancing its activities with the aim of providing support and assistance to foreign investors and of guiding them through the complexities of the Italian system”.
