FILO CAPSULE COLLECTION: A JOURNEY INTO THE TEXTILE SUPPLY CHAIN

Dobby loom for wool fabrics and menswear, jacquard pavilion loom for silk fabrics and womenswear; moulage technique to imagine the finished garment; to ennoble the fabrics there is the embroidery technique, for printing the three-dimensional effects of pigment ink jet, for finishing the most innovative treatments and for dyes the natural dyes with excellent fastness of resistance to washing and acid agents: the Filo Capsule Collection is an actual journey into the excellence of textile manufacturing processes, and will make its debut at the 63rd edition of Filo on 26 and 27 February 2025.

FILO CAPSULE COLLECTION: THE STARTING POINT

The Filo Capsule Collection comprises fabric prototypes made with the exhibitors’ yarns. Which in turn find inspiration in “Collages”, the product development proposals envisioned by Gianni Bologna for the 63rd edition of Filo and proposed by Filo in December 2024.
To better understand the stylistic concept that the Filo Capsule Collection expresses, “Collages” is the starting point, retracing with the fabric prototypes the four chapters that make up – precisely – the collages: Military Charme; Bio Pop; Vanity; Possibly.

FEBRUARY 2025 – FILO GOES INTO PRODUCTION: THE CAPSULE COLLECTION MAKES ITS DEBUT

From stylistic suggestions to actual production, from yarns to fabrics, in a “producer to producer” dialogue along the supply chain. This is the idea feeding the exclusive innovation which will be launched during Filo63: a Capsule Collection of fabrics carried out by “translating” the contents of “Collages” – the Dialoghi Creativi suggested by Gianni Bologna (Responsible for Filo’s style and creativity) for the 63rd edition of Filo – into fabric plots.
